MITCON International School visits Sinhgad virtually !!!
“Tell me and I’ll forget. Show me and I may remember. involve me and I learn” – Benjamin Frank
Virtual field trips are a great way for students to see the world without leaving a classroom or living room! A field trip reflection gives students the opportunity to capture what they learn, like and wonder while exploring a plethora of places and things online.
As it has been six months that our tiny tots have been confined at their home and besides that, the kids have moulded themselves beautifully by being receptive to the new technique of teaching -learning process, so they definitely deserved a reward for being so accommodative at this young age. MITCON INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL planned a virtual Educational Trip to the grand Sihagad Fort on 21st and 23rd October 2020 for the young Mitconites. Excited students were ready wearing their hats, glares and even their favourite snacks with water bottles. A presentation related to the fort and its significance was explained which was followed by the video that showed the history of Sinhagad and kids were virtually taken in the bus with their bag packs. On the way, virtually in the bus, kids sang different rhymes till the time they reached the venue and the bus ride was fun filled. On reaching the Fort, again virtually, the children enthusiastically explored one of the top military outposts during the reign of Shivaji Maharaj, authentic Maharashtrian food, panoramic view of the landscape, clouds drifting over the mountains and even release of sudden showers. The virtual visit to the fort was a memorable one and it motivated the students to build observational skills, to develop an understanding and appreciation of local history and to make children discover things on their own. It was a wonderful opportunity for all the children to strengthen their bonds and everyone was rejuvenated. Everyone had a big smile on their faces indicating they had a great fun.
