Young Mitconites of Pre Primary celebrated Brown colour day on Friday, 31 January 2020. Brown is the color of earth, wood and stone. It is a natural, neutral color that is typically associated with the seasons of fall and winter. It represents reliability and honesty.
The colour day is celebrated to make students connect to a variety of objects in environment with reference to the colour. In celebration of Brown colour, the students wore Brown colour dresses and brought food items like brownies, cookies, chocolates and pastries in tiffin. To take this forward, the students explored the brown colour activity. They made bookmark, paper puppet monkey and ground hog.
They also brought soft toys like Teddy bear, horse, dog, squirrel, rugby ball and introduced their toy to the whole class.
To showcase brown colour, basket full of items like teddy bear, yummy muffins, chocolates, cookies, Chocó’s, Kellogg’s, jaggery, almonds, walnuts, peanuts, ginger, brown clothes & brown chart paper were kept in the class.
Students had a great learning experience and enjoyed their day.
