“Shades of Yellow stimulates our little ones with happiness, energy and optimism…….”
With an objective to recapitulate and reinforce the effects of yellow colour, our Pre-primary section of MITCON International School celebrated Yellow Day on 18th April, 2019.
A day dedicated to the yellow colour was marked with children dressed in different hues and tints of yellow. Children were not only beautifully dressed in their favorite yellow dresses but also brought yellow objects to make it a complete “Yellow Day” !
Tiffin’s were filled with bananas, jelly, mangoes, pulao, pineapples etc. Attractive yellow coloured toys like racing cars, helicopters, minions, teddy bears, dolls and balloons made the learning environment active and sporty.
Teachers have planned takeaway activity such as stick puppet honey bee, chicken with paper pasting activity, finger tapping activity etc. Children enjoyed all these activities and were very happy to take back their creative work at home. The teachers were beaming with pride when the confident little commentators described the yellow objects with expressiveness, flair and ease. The bulletin board was reverberated with quotes, appealing posters of honey bee, beehive and sunflowers highlighting the essence of yellow colour. Cheerful children attired in yellow outfits were sparkling with optimism, enlightenment and happiness. Beams of yellow shades carried the promise of a positive future flashing creative thoughts in the young minds.
The motive of celebrating this yellow colour day was to make the children aware of yellow colour, its significance and to develop fine motor skills in the students. They spent the day with utmost enjoyment.
