“ The Family is one of the nature’s masterpieces”
Family is like branches on a tree, we may grow in different directions but our roots will stay as one. Family is the most important influence in a child’s life.
As part of educational activity , MITCON International School, organized the ‘Role Play’ activity for Pre-Primary Wing on the theme “My Family” on Monday, 14 June 2021.
This gave an opportunity to the mitconites to speak about the people that they love and spend their time with most enthusiastically. Students were excited and eager to participate. This activity also helped them realize that we all belong to a family and each family is unique. And what a day it was to witness students of pre-primary showcase their talent in the form of ROLEPLAY…. And whom better could they replicate – Their Family. Students were dressed up as various members of the family and expressed about the role that they were playing. Students looked fantastic with accessories identical to what their parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts usually carry. We sang songs related to family and each child portrayed the character of their respective family member by enacting like them and reciting few lines as per the character of the family member they had chosen. They were taught how each and every member of the family is equally important.
Students were dressed as their parents and grandparents. This activity gave a chance for students to explore, investigate and experiment. They played responsible as their parents, loving and caring as grandparents and notorious when they were acting as their siblings. It was a delight to watch and hear them interpreting their versions of their family members. Some children were dressed up as Grandmother and enacted chanting shlokas whereas some were in Grandfather’s attire enacted watching and enjoying sports channel. Students of Nursery enacted their parents working from home with their laptops and also managing their kitchen chores.
It was another memorable day. In today’s fast-growing world, such activities revive and rekindle the importance of love and affection among the members of a family.
