Environment- The Greatest Asset.

World Environment Day (WED) is observed every year on 05 June to raise global awareness and to take positive action to protect the nature and the planet Earth. It is run by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP).
World Environment Day was celebrated by Mitconites on 09.06.21.
It is our moral duty to conserve our environment and train our future generation also for the same. The green planet is getting degraded due to the reduction of farmlands, increased construction , reduction of water bodies for land development and the list goes on ….
To spread awareness about the need to protect the same, a variety of activities were conducted and shared on virtual platform.
Grade 1 angels made wind turbine to show how it helps to reduce air pollution. A plantation activity was taken up by grade 2 students. Grade 3 and 4 designed reminders depicting the importance of optimum use of available resources.

was studied and explained by giving various measures to be taken by government as well as at individual level.
Overall the activities were of great interest and of contemporary need. All these activities made a difference to the way we view our environment. Nature is supreme and the mankind is just a subject to the nature. Let’s all join hands together to nurture the nature and soon we shall reach our perfect and true destination– our green planet.
