Fitness Freaks are those who are significantly conscious about their
health. Any type of regular, physical activity can improve our fitness
and health. The most important thing is that you keep moving! Exercise
should be a regular part of your day. It can be a gym class, joining a
sports team or working out on your own
World Health Day is celebrated on 7th of April every year. It is an
initiative taken by the World Health Organization (WHO) to raise
awareness about the overall health and well-being of people across the
world. MIS International School always takes an opportunity to
celebrate a new event.
Heath is utmost important aspect of our existence which can’t be
denied. To trim the lamp of wisdom and to keep our mind strong and
clear, a skit was performed by 10th graders which delivered the
important message on a healthy diet. It highlighted the merits on the
consumption of balanced diet as well as the demerits of junk food.
To make the day full of energy and excitement, a Zumba session was
arranged for students. Zumba was created in 1990s by Beto Perez, an
aerobics instructor from Columbia. Zumba targets lots of different
muscle groups at once for total body toning. It helps one to maintain
a good cardiovascular respiratory system. Zumba is fun filled
alternative to traditional fitness programs. The more you enjoy your
exercise routine, the more likely you are to stick with it. The music
played for Zumba was slow and easy that enabled the students to flow
in time to the rhythm. Zumba is an exercise in disguise. It helped the
students to improve their co-ordination and made them feel relaxed.
The students were told about the wonderful benefits of Zumba which
made them connect with the session even better.
MIS team always provides a platform to students in the form of
activities and projects to enhance their personalities. The
co-curricular activities will definitely help our students to broader
their exposure and insight.
