Grandparents are a family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers and the keepers of traditions. They are the family’s strong foundation. For grandparents, their grandchildren are the greatest gift they can have, it’s a chance to relive their own time as parents and even better – an opportunity to do everything they enjoyed doing or missed doing with their own children.
To cherish the bond between grandparents and grandchildren, MIS International School celebrated Grandparents’ Day on 10th September’22. The principal, Ms. Monika Chhabra, addressed the audience and asserted the importance of having elderly people around us.
Considering the significance of farming in our life, an activity “Farm Studio On Wheels” was organised at MIS International School on 27th August, 22 for Pre-Primary to grade 3, wherein the children were told how a farm brings its produce to the consumer. The aim of the activity was to make the children aware of how food is grown along with the necessary care that the farmer takes to grow healthy and nutritious food which is made available at our tables so easily.
The motive behind this day’s celebration is to honour grandparents for all the sacrifices they make for their families.
With this strong belief in the overall and holistic development of the
students, the day started with oodles of blessings, happy faces,
excitement, and cheer as the budding stars of MIS International School
displayed their love and affection for their grandparents.
The grandparents were engaged in various musical activities and they
left everyone spellbound with their exemplary performance. Exciting
games were also conducted to make the celebration more fun filled. The
icing on the cake was the gratitude shown by the tiny tots which had
everyone glued to the screen and see the innocent faces expressing
their heartfelt thanks for all the love received by the grandparents.
It was a moment of elation to see the happiness on the faces of all
the grandparents who made the most of this wonderful day.
The celebration concluded with a take away activity together done by
the grandparents and the grandchildren.
